Welcome to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital. Our largest 24-hour hospital in the group is looking for a soft tissue surgeon who is wishing to step into a purely surgical position, on a full-time basis. Working 40 hours per week inclusive of weekend rotation, you will support the team with their soft tissue cases, working alongside our experienced team of theatre RVNs. You will be rota’ d to 2 bank holidays per year to support the hospital on those key dates throughout the year. The hospital performs all surgery from GP to referral level including SUB placement, liver resections and thoracic surgery. The hospital also benefits from having multiple cautery units including a harmonic scalpel and a full laparoscopy/thoracoscopy/endoscopy kit. Wanstead Veterinary Hospital provides an excellent first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral service to our clients and local network of 20 branches and work to the highest clinical standards. There is state of the art diagnostic support at Wanstead, with a new ultrasound scanner, CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, a specialist in diagnostic imaging, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery, all available on site. Wanstead itself is on the outskirts of leafy Essex but has quick and direct transport links that take you straight into all areas of London!
