About the role
We want to ensure that while our clinical team support the patients’ needs, we are also able to offer a warm and friendly welcome to clients. This involves providing effective communications internally and organising our diary so that we can provide the best advice and accurate information to our clients.
The role involves shift work in 5 hour blocks for part time, and 10 hour blocks for fulltime, with the earliest shift starting at 8am, and the latest shift up to 10.30pm plus a 2:4 weekend rotation. You will be rota 'd to 3 bank holidays per year (including one in the festive period). Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required.
As well as a high level of face-to-face client care, there is also a large amount of phone and written communication to our clients, and these methods of communication must be treated as equally as professionally.
You will also be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks such as managing the email inbox, paperwork filing, daily banking and liaising with insurance companies.
We are ideally seeking a candidate with previous reception responsibilities within a veterinary or healthcare setting to join our team and can work early and late shifts. We do ask for a certain level of flexibly in the role, due to the nature of the profession.
You would need to be computer literate although training will be given, but more importantly we are looking for friendly, confident, empathetic individuals who will be proud to make the reception area, their areas of responsibility and for individuals with a passion for animal welfare and who love being a pivotal part of a large vibrant team.
