VA293 – Acton – Part-time Veterinary Surgeon

We respect that people need a work life balance, especially within the veterinary industry and we have created a part-time role for a veterinary surgeon working at 2 sites each week in Acton and Fulham.Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you:The salary for this part-time role inclusive of weekend rotation is £36,000 to £49,200 depending on experience, and allowing room for growth within the role.As a Goddard Vet, you’ll benefit from: - 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata for part time) - Generous relocation assistance - CPD budget every year - Up to 5 days’ paid CPD leave every year (pro rata) - Private Medical Insurance - Colleague introduction reward - 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme - Medical cashback plan. Both are GP first opinion, with a nice surgical caseload to get involved in. Your weekend rotation is 1:4 branch Saturdays, and 1:10 hospital Sundays, plus 1 bank holiday per year.There are NO on-call requirements.Acton is set in an old bank complete with original vault, and is also part of the ISFM cat friendly scheme and is proud to be involved with lots of work for the Cats Protection Charity.The practice is conveniently located opposite the Elizabeth Tube Line, which takes you straight into central and east London in one direction, and through to Heathrow airport in the other.Due to the relationship our Fulham practice has with its incredibly bonded client base, we are looking for a vet who thrives when providing five-star client care as well as providing the highest standard of patient care. We are looking for a vet who is no stranger to rolling out the red carpet to their clients and their adored furry or feathered family members!We have a full lab suite at Fulham, two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area and a colleague rest area for those important lunch breaks. We have invested in the branch recently to provide even better facilities for the team.In both sites you will be working alongside a fantastic nursing team including experienced RVNs for your go to support! You will also be fully supported by an incredibly experienced regional manager, and regional head vet.The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt and Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon provide out of hours support for Acton and Fulham. Both hospitals have state of the art 24 hr facilities including CT at Mandeville, excellent ultrasound facilities, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists. In this bustling market town south of the river is our popular Tooting clinic, who are looking for a confident veterinary surgeon to take the reins and step into this sought after position in this desirable location. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our senior vet salary band is £63,000 to £83,000 (FTE) depending on experience, and allowing room for growth within the role, as we would welcome the opportunity to provide CPD for further clinical or management development.We are looking for a senior vet, and additional vet to share a rota, and we can be open on how this can look across both roles. We are looking for 2 veterinary surgeons, one of which to step into a senior role, who are keen to work between 2 sister branches that are within a 10-minute drive of each other, in Croydon and New Addington. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our senior vet salary band is £63,000 to £83,000 (FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role, as we would welcome the opportunity to provide CPD for further clinical or management development.Our additional vet salary band is £42,000 to £58,000 (FTE) depending on experience and again allowing room for growth within the role.There can be flexible options with regards to rota for these positions. Both include a branch Saturday rotation and 1:10 Sunday rotation in the Stone Lion Hospital plus 1 bank holiday per year. There are no on-call requirements for either role.Accommodation is available at New Addington if required.
