VA454 – Tottenham – Senior Veterinary Surgeon

You will not be bored at Tottenham and the practice has a great reputation within the group for their positive team dynamic. This role involves a 4-day week, with a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota 'd to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead, and be part of the region's on-call rotation (not on your rota 'd days off as these are protected). As well as digital and dental x-ray, we will also be providing Tottenham with ultrasound facilities. You will be fully supported by our highly experienced regional manager, whose support is invaluable to her branches, as well as a regional head vet for clinical management support you may need. You will also be supported by our Wanstead 24-hour hospital to refer more complex cases, and their own rotating night team provides your patients with invaluable OOH care. Caseload at Tottenham is high, with a bonded client base so we need an experienced vet to take the reins of this popular branch. The practice itself is perfectly situated if you want to travel into the hustle and bustle of central London within 15 minutes, but is also within a short drive to beautiful Epping Forest for that countryside relief! We are barking mad for Barking and are looking for a vet to join the team every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: The salary for this sole charge position inclusive of a weekend rotation is £47,024 to £60,225 (£57,000 to £73,000 FTE) depending on experience and allowing for growth within the role. If you were looking for 4 days, we could explore options! This role is Wednesday to Friday, 1:4 branch Saturdays and 1:8 Sundays in Wanstead Hospital. This is a sole charge position, but you will have the full support from an experienced RVN and SVN, and you will be first port of call for day-to-day consultations and routine surgeries. Barking is well supported clinically by Wanstead 24-hour hospital that provides its surrounding branches with invaluable OOH and internal referral care. There is state of the art diagnostic support at Wanstead, with a new CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site. You will also be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet for any clinical support you may need. Welcome to Ewell and Chessington! We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to step into this best of both position working between these two branches across 2-4 days per week. Both practices are GP first opinion and you will support in both consults and routine surgeries. You will have the opportunity to work across both sites getting a perfect balance between a slower and faster paced caseload. Chessington is our quieter high street practice with a large consult and prep area. Ewell is Chessington’s larger hub; it is a beautifully refurbished practice with large prep and kennel area and a separate upstairs space, with a fast-paced varied surgical caseload. You will be fully supported by experienced support colleagues in each branch, a dedicated regional manager, and an exceptionally experienced regional head vet for any clinical support you may need. You will also be fully supported by Stone Lion 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon for more complex cases, and for patients who need overnight care, this is provided by our dedicated OOH team. Chessington and Ewell are ideally situated in South London, within an easy train ride straight into central London. This practice is uniquely linked with our 24-hour hospital in Northolt located just 1.5 miles away, and this role would be perfect for a veterinary surgeon looking to work between both branch and hospital environments. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: The salary band for this 43.5 hourly week role inclusive of weekend rotation is £48,938 to £63,075 depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role. 4 day week with every Wednesday off. There are no on-call requirements for this role. On Mondays and Fridays, you will have the opportunity to perform your procedures at Mandeville, supported by a large team and working with state-of-the-art facilities. Tuesdays and Thursdays are neutering days at Greenford, with a day off every Wednesday. Your weekend rotation involves 1:3 branch Saturdays, and 1:8 Mandeville Sundays. This role would be ideal for a vet who has completed their VetGDP, is confident with sole charge and looking for more independent routine surgery time, but then has the opportunity for more complex cases with the support of the hospital on your surgery days. The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital provides out of hours support for its surrounding branches in West London. It has state of the art 24-hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists and provides a great environment to develop your ECC skills. You will also be fully supported by a dedicate regional manager, and highly experience regional head vet for any clinical support you may need. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: The salary band for this sole charge 40 hourly week role inclusive of weekend rotation is £57,000 to £73,000 depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role. There are no on-call requirements for this role. In addition, you will be supported by a dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet to help you with any areas of clinical support you may need. Your full-time 40 hours are inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, in addition to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Mandeville Hospital with time off in lieu. Although sole-charge, you will be fully supported by our 24-hour Mandeville Hospital in Northolt that is just a 10-minute drive from the practice, if you did need to refer any of your clients and their pets for more extensive treatment, or overnight hospitalisation. There is state of the art diagnostic support at the hospital with a new CT scanner, a diploma holder in imaging providing our CT and ultrasound service, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site. Ickenham’s location is ideal with 2 main access roads including the M25 just 10 minutes away, yet it has the quint essential village feel. Ickenham also has an underground tube station on the metropolitan line, which takes you all over London within a few short stops, including Kings Cross and Liverpool Street.
