VA447 – Chalfont St Peter – Registered Veterinary Nurse

Our beautiful Chalfont St Peter practice in West London has a genuinely sought after opportunity for an RVN to join their team, on a full-time basis. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our RVN salary band is £31,000 to £35,000 depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role. Accommodation is available to rent if required. You will be required to support the Mandeville Hospital for just 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements. Chalfont St Peter has 3 consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards and is in a peaceful, picturesque village location, yet within a quick train journey you are straight in central London. The practice has long standing bonded clients, largely insured and for those invaluable breaks when the sun makes an appearance you have a huge garden and decked out area to have some “me” time. You will be fully supported by two vets, an amazing senior RVN, experienced nursing and reception team and an invaluable regional manager who have all worked in/with the practice for years. As well as being equipped with everything you would expect for a large branch, Chalfont also has ultrasound facilities. The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt provides out of hours support for Chalfont. It has state of the art 24 hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists. This role could be perfect for a newly qualified RVN due to the wealth of support you will be given. The hospital also provides specialist work with an orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon, dermatologist, and physiotherapist. Stone Lion is equipped with everything you would expect from a 24-hour hospital and are now offering laparoscopic spays. We are an RCVS Accredited Hospital and for the cat lovers out there, hold an ISFM Silver Award for Cat Friendly Clinics. You will be joining a fully staffed team of experienced vets, RVNs, trainee nurses and clinical management with a wealth of knowledge, working across different areas of the hospital including theatre, ward and consults. Your rota is varied, allowing you to delve into all areas of hospital nursing ranging from ward, theatre and consults. Stone Lion is located in the heart of picturesque Wimbledon Village, you will feel like you are working on a film set! We don’t expect people to cover huge areas, and you will work closely with our locum coordinator teams to work out which clinics are accessible to you. Although a float position, you will be fully supported by our experienced regional managers. The role allows you to experience different environments from RCVS accredited hospitals with an array of specialists to multi vet and small sole charge clinics. Being a float role, you will work closely with your locum coordinator having shifts assigned that best support the clinics with their rota gaps. This role involves Saturday and Sunday shifts through-out the year that are not on a set rotation, so you can manage your weekend shifts around your personal life, while again meeting the needs of the clinics. Sundays and bank holidays would be worked at your nearest 24-hour hospital. So why join the team instead of locuming? We are looking for a confident veterinary surgeon who is thirsty for a positive challenge, to step into a sole charge position in our practice in Croydon, South London. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our sole charge vet salary band is £57,000 to £73,000 (FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role, as we would welcome the opportunity to provide CPD for further clinical or management development. This role includes a branch Saturday rotation and 1:10 Sunday rotation in the Stone Lion Hospital plus 1 bank holiday per year. We would also be happy to explore this as a part-time role. You will have full clinical support from Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon, for any complex referrals you may need to make, and OOH care for your patients. You would be fully supported by your dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet who has a wealth of knowledge to pass on and can support you in your clinical management needs. This is a sole charge position, and you will be comfortable with routine GP consultations and surgery, but ample support is provided by management in the region. Being south of the river, you are ideally located near idyllic Kingston Upon Thames, and then for a night out in London within easy reach of Brixton. Our fabulous senior vet at Putney is off to explore the world! This has created an opening for a veterinary surgeon to step into a senior position and explore the ins and outs of Goddard Putney! Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our senior vet salary band inclusive of weekend rotation is £63,000 to £83,000 (FTE) depending on prior experience, and development within the role.We are also looking for an additional part-time vet to join the team on either a 2 or 3 day week basis (plus weekend rotation) to crossover with the senior vet 1 day per week. If you were looking for additional days this can of course be explored within the region as we could explore 2 days in Putney, and 2 days in another nearby practice. The associate vet salary band is £45,000 to £58,000 (FTE). Your rota is inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation, plus 1 bank holiday per year. Our Putney practice location has a true London ‘village’ feel, just a short walk from the River Thames, Putney High Street, and Putney Station. It is situated at the end of a beautiful Victorian high street with a true café culture atmosphere. The clients at Putney are amazing, incredibly bonded to the team and are largely insured. You will be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager, and our 24-hour Stone Lion hospital that is just a 15-minute drive away, where you can refer more complex cases, and who also provide our OOH services. You will also have additional clinical support from our integral regional head vet Julie, who has a wealth of clinical and management knowledge to pass on.
