About the role

This is a long established, popular practice, in a vibrant area of East London. Mile End has a large surgical caseload, and we would love to welcome a second vet who shares that passion, to work alongside their full-time senior vet, Part-time vet, senior RVN and student nurses.

The rota for this role involves a 4-day week with Mondays off and alternating early and late finishes. The average 37 hours per week is inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation. You will also be rota ‘d to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead, and be involved in an on-call rotation.

​You will be fully supported by our regional manager, whose support is invaluable to her branches, as well as our fantastic regional head vets who are there for clinical support.

​You will also have the support of our flagship 24-hour hospital in Wanstead, who provide OOH care and support for more complex cases and procedures.

About the roleKennington is situated in a bustling and popular area of South London, with easy travel links across the city and has a fast-growing client base. Its high surgical case load would be ideal for a first opinion GP vet looking for more surgical caseload.This role offers a great rota with alternate Mondays and Fridays off, 1 day per week totalling 10 hours, and the other 3 weekdays are 8 hours. The weekend rotation is 1:4 branch Saturdays, and 1:10 hospital Sundays, plus up to 2 bank holidays per year.There are NO on-call requirements.As well as a fantastic team including a senior vet, RVN’s, incredible trainee nurses and integral reception support, you will also be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager, and incredibly experienced regional head vet.Kennington is equipped with everything you would need, including ultrasound facilities, ideal for a vet with a keen interest in diagnostic imaging.

Due to the layout of the practice being over 2 floors, confidence in independent working is integral.

About the role

In this sole charge GP first opinion role you will be conducting morning consultations, performing any routine surgeries during the day, then rounding up with evening consults.

​You will be fully supported by an incredible support team including Dawn and Alison, who have been at the practice for over 20 years and are very proud of the reputation the practice has built.

​In addition, you will be supported by a dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet to help you with any areas of clinical support you may need.Your full-time 40 hours are inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, in addition to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Mandeville Hospital with time off in lieu.

Chessington is our quieter high street practice with a large consult and prep area. This role is Wednesday and Friday, 1:4 branch Saturdays and 1:8 Sundays in Wanstead Hospital. We would be more than happy to explore hours elsewhere in the region if you were looking for more.

​This is a sole charge position, but you will have the full support from an experienced RVN and SVN, and you will be first port of call for day-to-day consultations and routine surgeries.

​Barking is well supported clinically by Wanstead 24-hour hospital that provides its surrounding branches with invaluable OOH and internal referral care.

​There is state of the art diagnostic support at Wanstead, with a new CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site.
