VA466 – Walthamstow – Veterinary Surgeon

Welcome to Walthamstow! This growing practice in a trendy area of East London is looking for an additional vet 3 days per week. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: The salary band for this part-time position inclusive of weekend rotation is £33,337 to £46,038 (£42,000 to £58,000 FTE) depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role. The clinic has undergone a refurbishment in recent years and has all the equipment you could need. The rota involves a Monday to Wednesday working week, plus 1:4 branch Saturdays,1:8 hospital Sundays and up to 2 bank holidays per year. We are looking for a future colleague who enjoys working in a busier GP environment and is comfortable with routine surgery and dentals due to the high caseload at Walthamstow. You will be fully supported by a full-time senior vet, senior RVN, incredibly passionate trainee nurses and a regional manager whose support is invaluable to her region. Walthamstow is also fully supported by Wanstead Veterinary Hospital for more complex cases and OOH. It has extensive 24 -hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists and provides a good environment to develop your ECC skills. The practice itself is situated in an ideal location if you want to base yourself in a village/high street environment but want easy access into the hustle and bustle. It’s just a 15-minute walk from Walthamstow Central station, taking you straight into Oxford Circus in just 20 minutes. Although sole charge, we also have our fantastic and incredibly experienced regional head vet, for any clinical support you may need. Kingston is also supported by Stone Lion 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon, for more complex cases, or OOH care your patients may need.This 4-day week role involves a 1:4 Saturday rotation, and 1:10 Sundays at Stone Lion Hospital. You will be rota 'd to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Stone Lion. The practice is just a 6-minute walk from Norbiton train station, and within a 50-minute journey you are in central London. At Goddard Veterinary Nursing College based in Woodford, we have a role for a registered veterinary nurse that is looking to take a step away from on the ground day to day clinical nursing, and wants to jump into a lecturing position, imparting their wisdom on our future nurses! Tottenham is a buzzing first opinion practice with new clients wishing to register on a regular basis, along with its long-standing client base. Tottenham’s charm is aided by its incredible support team, including an amazing senior nurse and dedicated student and trainee nurses. When at Tottenham you will overlap one day with a senior vet, and sole charge on the other. When at South Woodford you will work closely with their highly experienced senior vet on both days and will have an incredible established nursing support team. You will be fully supported by our highly experienced regional manager, whose support is invaluable to her branches, as well as a regional head vet for clinical management support you may need. You will also be supported by our Wanstead 24-hour hospital to refer more complex cases, and their own rotating night team provides your patients with invaluable OOH care. Tottenham is perfectly situated, within a 5-minute walk from Bruce Grove over-ground which takes you straight into London Liverpool Street, or a 15-minute walk from Tottenham Hale station which picks up the Victoria Line to take you down to South London including Kings Cross. South Woodford is again ideally situated within an 8-minute walk to the Central Line, and close to the bustling High-street with ample restaurants and bars for your down time! They are both also within a short drive to beautiful Epping Forest for that countryside relief!
