About the role

Wanstead are looking for a veterinary surgeon who is wanting to grab the opportunity to step into this full-time GP role at Wanstead Hospital in East London.

The team are looking for a competent GP vet who is able to jump straight in with routine surgeries, including bitch spays and dentals, and be able to manage emergency cases.

Wanstead Veterinary Hospital provides an excellent first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral service to our clients and local network of 20 branches and works to the highest clinical standards.

There is state of the art diagnostic support, with a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site.

You will be fully supported by a team of experienced hospital vets including a senior medic/ECC and GP vet, our incredible nursing team made up of experienced RVN’s, students, nursing assistants and front of house team, as well as on site clinical managers.

Your rota will be on a 6 weekly rotational basis made up of an average of 40 hours per week, inclusive of your weekend rotation. This will enable you to work within all departments of the hospital, ranging across consulting, surgery, ward and ECC.

About the role

This first opinion GP position could be worked across 35-40 hours per week, inclusive of the 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday. You will be rota ‘d to 1 bank holiday per year in the Mandeville Hospital.

​You would be supported by an experienced part-time senior vet who works 10am-2pm, and experienced RVN and trainee nurses. You will also have the support of our invaluable regional manager, and newly appointed regional head vet for any of those clinical queries!

​As well as being equipped with everything you would expect, the practice is kitted out perfectly for a vet with a surgical bias, as our previous vet was an orthopaedic surgeon. Hayes End also has dental x-ray, perfect for those budding dentists out there!

There are no on-call requirements for this role.

​Goddard Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt provides Hayes End with its OOH care and support with any complex cases you may need to refer.

About the roleOur Kingston practice situated in a beautiful period building is looking for a vet to join and take the reins of this established GP practice, complete with dental and digital x-ray.

You will be fully supported by an experienced RVN and passionate trainee nurse, as well as your regional manager who is integral in the running of the region and there for additional support.Although sole charge, we also have our fantastic and incredibly experienced regional head vet, for any clinical support you may need.Kingston is also supported by Stone Lion 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon, for more complex cases, or OOH care your patients may need.

This 4-day week role involves a 1:4 Saturday rotation, and 1:10 Sundays at Stone Lion Hospital. You will be rota ‘d to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Stone Lion.

The practice is just a 6-minute walk from Norbiton train station, and within a 50-minute journey you are in central London.

You are also a 10-minute walk from the famous picturesque Richmond Park, and the River Thames.
