VA472 – Mandeville – Registered Veterinary Nurse

One of our fabulous nurses will be pursuing an internship, creating a position for a full-time RVN in our impressive Mandeville Hospital in Northolt. Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: Our full-time RVN salary band is £31,000 to £35,000 depending on experience allowing room for growth and development within the role. As a hospital RVN you will also help guide trainee nurses in their journey’s to becoming RVNs, and ensure the high clinical standards in consult, ward and theatre are being maintained, as well as being able to develop your own skills for future progression. As well as the large clinical team around you, and integral front of house team for client care support, you will be fully supported by the hospital’s nursing team, deputy head nurse, head nurse, and hospital manager. Mandeville Veterinary Hospital and its surrounding clinics provide an excellent first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral service and work to the highest clinical standards. As a result, you will have the opportunity to nurse a wide range of patients and conditions. There is state of the art diagnostic support at the hospital with a new CT scanner, a diploma holder in imaging providing our CT and ultrasound service, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery during the day. This is a fulltime position, including a 1:5 weekend rotation with TOIL and 2 bank holidays per year. There are no on-call requirements for this position. The role totals 40-hours per week (4-day week) inclusive of your weekend rotation: 1:4 branch Saturdays and 1:10 Sundays at Wanstead Hospital, plus 1 bank holiday per year with time back. Along with the senior vet, you will play integral part in the day to day running of the clinic, ensuring your team are supported and the practice is running efficiently and providing exemplary patient care. You will be fully supported by fantastic student nurses who are the backbone of Tottenham and know it inside out. Wanstead are looking for a veterinary surgeon who is wanting to grab the opportunity to gain invaluable hospital experience, and step into this full-time GP role at Wanstead Hospital in East London. 
 
 
 
 
The team are looking for a competent GP vet who is able to jump straight in with routine surgeries, including bitch spays and dentals. 
 
 
 
 
Wanstead Veterinary Hospital provides an excellent first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral service to our clients and local network of 20 branches and works to the highest clinical standards. 
 
 
 
 
There is state of the art diagnostic support, with a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site. 
 
 
 
 
You will be fully supported by a team of experienced hospital vets including a senior medic/ECC and GP vet, our incredible nursing team made up of experienced RVN's, students, nursing assistants and front of house team, as well as on site clinical managers. 
 
 
 
 
Your rota will be on a 6 weekly rotational basis made up of an average of 40 hours per week, inclusive of your weekend rotation. This will enable you to work within all departments of the hospital, ranging across consulting, surgery, ward and ECC.
