Sam graduated as a vet from University of Liverpool in 2009. He spent his first four years in practice in rural Devon, working with farm animals, pets and Dartmoor ponies. He then spent another four years dividing his time between locum work in the UK and helping street animals across Asia (as well as some time working with rescued elephants) then two years in Melbourne, Australia before joining the Goddard Group in 2021. Sam enjoys all aspects of GP work but especially surgery and mentoring trainee vets, an interest he picked up while teaching vets in India and Thailand.
