How to Find Us

Chingford is in the north east London Borough of Waltham Forest, sandwiched between Enfield, Haringey, Hackney, Newham and Redbridge.

Parking and Accessibility

There is free off-site parking is available for clients, both in front and behind the surgery building on Chingford Mount Road. The practice is also well serviced by several bus routes including the 397, 657 and 97.

Please note this practice is located within the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

What to do in the event of an Emergency 

We have three pet hospitals across London that are open 24 hours a day, 365 day a year, in the event of a veterinary emergency, or if your pet is unwell outside normal hours. The closest hospital to our Chingford vet practice is Wanstead Veterinary Hospital, which can be reached on 020 8989 7744. For your peace of mind and for continuity of care, your pet’s medical history is accessible in any of our branches or hospitals.

Veterinary Surgeon

Emma qualified as a vet in 2007, joining Goddard Veterinary Group in 2013 as a floating locum before transferring to our Chingford practice in 2015. Emma is motivated by providing lifelong care for pets and has many clinical interests including dermatology, behaviour, nutrition and pain management and offers acupuncture as a complementary treatment for chronic pain and other conditions. As an Official Veterinarian [OV] Emma is authorised to issue Animal Health Certificates and complete export health certificates. Outside of work, Emma enjoys yoga, volunteering, and spending time walking her dogs. An avid traveller, she has combined this passion with veterinary work for charities in Greece, Thailand and the Galapagos Islands. Emma lives with her rescued pets Star the chihuahua, Amelia Jane & Percy the cats, Blue the tortoise and Red, a corn snake.

Sarah started her career working at an RSPCA rehoming centre for cats, working her way up from a volunteer to the supervisor before pursuing a career in veterinary nursing. Sarah qualified as an RVN in 2007. She has worked in private practice, referral and most recently a large charity hospital before joining the team at Chingford in 2021. Sarah has a keen interest in rehabilitation and physiotherapy and holds a BSAVA merit award in the subject. She has a passion for cats and achieved a distinction in the ISFM certificate in Feline Friendly Nursing. In her previous role she was the feline advocate for the hospital, providing advice for clients and staff, helping to ensure the best welfare for cats. True to her passion Sarah has four rescue cats of her own.

Philippa Davis

Regional Manager

Philippa joined the Goddard Group in 1999 and has seen it develop and grow over the years. Originally from a veterinary equine practice, Philippa now manages ten branches in the East London area. Philippa achieved her management certificate Cert B&PS in 1999 and her Certificate Veterinary Practice Management CVPM in 2013. Philippa lives with her husband, son and her rescue cats Duncan and Sydney. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering projects, was an Olympic Games Maker in London 2012 and helps out at Saturday Park Runs. Philippa has a passion for photography and participates in many charity runs (as long as there is a medal at the end!).
