Sunil Thanki BVSc MRCVS [OV]

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Sunil completed his training at the University of Bristol, School of Veterinary Science and then spent time working in mixed and equine practice in South West Wales and Cambridge treating “all creatures great and small”. Most recently Sunil has been working at the RSPCA Small Animal Veterinary Hospital in Sydney where he was involved with a lot of emergency medicine and surgical cases. Sunil enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has a particular interest in ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine and is currently studying towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cert AVP). Sunil is an Official Veterinarian [OV] which means that he is authorised to issue pet passports and complete export health certificates. Sunil is a keen sportsman and in his spare time, he can be found playing football, climbing or trail running. He is an avid cricket fan and always makes time to go to live international games, especially when the Indian cricket team is in town.

Eleanor Moreton BVM BVS MRCVS

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Ellie graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018 and joined the team at Mandeville soon after on our Veterinary Graduate Scheme. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but is particularly interested in internal medicine. In her spare time Ellie enjoys socialising, baking, exploring new places and spending time with her three-legged rescue cat Peaches. Ellie describes herself as being both a cat person and a dog person and would one day love to have a canine friend of her own.

Maria Aristotelous BVMSci MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Maria qualified from the University of Surrey in 2020. She initially worked as a small animal vet in a practice in Surrey, before joining the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital team in 2022. Maria has a keen interest in animal welfare and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with particular interest in surgery and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Alexandra Brown BSc BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Alexandra graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2005 and spent many years working in mixed and small animal practice in the south of England.  She began working regularly as a locum at the Mandeville Hospital in 2011 and happily joined the team on a permanent part-time basis in 2014.  Alexandra enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and has a special interest in internal medicine, rabbits and rodents.  Over the years she has adopted or fostered an assortment of animals in need of a second chance.  Alexandra is a keen traveller with a degree in Anthropology and she has backpacked or overlanded in various parts of the world including West Africa, India and the Galapagos.  In her spare time Alexandra enjoys gardening, wildlife watching, meditating and studying psychology

Sarah Finnegan BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Sarah qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2015 and went straight into small animal practice. She joined the team at Mandeville in 2024. Sarah has particular interests in emergency work and canine epilepsy. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys travelling and reading autobiographies.

Ovidiu Florincas GPCert(DI) MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Ovidiu grew up in a village in Transylvania and spent all his spare time helping with the family farm and playing the trumpet. After training at Bucharest Veterinary School and graduating in 2011, he soon decided to follow his career path and move to the UK. He spent one year in Lincolnshire, working in small animal practice then moved into the Cotswolds where he remained for five years doing mixed veterinary work and very quickly fell in love with the area. Ovidiu joined the team at the Mandeville in 2021 and enjoys all aspects and challenges of working in small animal practice and particularly enjoys surgery and ultrasonography. He has recently completed a certificate on Diagnostic Imaging. Outside of work Ovidiu will usually be seen along the River Colne trying to manage walking his toddler twins AND the buggy! He also enjoys swimming and skiing.

Ana Murta DVM PgC(SAS) MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Ana graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lisbon in 2003.  After a short period in general practice in Portugal, Ana finished an internship in Manchester and then worked in London, initially as a general practitioner and then as an emergency hours vet at our Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital.  She then returned to Lisbon for a soft tissue surgery position at the Teaching Hospital, covering first and second opinion surgery, endoscopy and basic interventional radiology, giving support to veterinary students and interns.  Ana returned to the UK in 2015 and has since gained a Certificate (PgC) in Small Animal Surgery and RCVS Advanced Practitioner Status.  Ana joined the team at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in November 2017.

Anna Thomas BVSc MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Anna graduated from the University of Bristol in 2023. She began her career at a busy first opinion small animal practice in London but quickly realised that she was ready to work at a larger hospital to further her interest in medicine and emergency care, and joined the team at Mandeville in 2024. In her free time, Anna is a keen lacrosse player and loves a sunny run in the countryside with her golden retriever Maisy!

Phoebe graduated from the RVC in 2017 and spent 18 months in practice before joining the Goddard team. She enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery. At home, Phoebe has a 10year old rabbit called Lilly.

Geeta RVN

Geeta qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002 and worked at the Mandeville Hospital between 2003 and 2007 before rejoining the team again in 2011.  She enjoys all aspects of her job, from emergency critical care to nurse consults.  In her spare time Geeta enjoys practising yoga and volunteering for Street Vet.

Verity RVN

Deputy Head Nurse

Verity studied a foundation degree in veterinary nursing science at Hartpury University in Gloucestershire and then topped up to a BSc. She has volunteered and worked in veterinary practices for a number of years now before joining the team at the Mandeville in 2019.  Throughout her placement year Verity realised she had keen interest in emergency critical care and medical nursing as well as reception work. She has two dogs one is a Staffordshire bull terrier and the other a Border terrier.

Katie qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2022 after seven years experience in the industry.  Katie has a strong passion for all things animals, particularly welfare, ECC, inpatient care and enrichment. At home Katie as a dog and three cats.

Zoe Bardawil RVN

Zoe joined the team at Mandeville in 2019 and has been nursing since 2006. Before qualifying as a veterinary nurse, Zoe achieved a Diploma in Animal Management and Welfare. Zoe has a Staffordshire bull terrier called Muttley, whose stomach knows no bounds, and together they have a keen interest in scent work.

Kamina Edmondson-Brown RVN

Kamina joined the Mandeville team in 2017 after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree and locuming at various practices before travelling to Thailand where she spent three months working at various animal shelters.  This inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary nursing and Kamina qualified as an RVN in 2021.  Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, shopping and spending time with her cat, Zena.

Leanne trained at the College of Animal Welfare where she completed her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. She completed her training at The Park Veterinary Centre in Watford before joining the Mandeville team in 2021. Leanne particularly enjoys nurses consults.

Claire joined the team at Mandeville in 2024 after graduating from Middlesex University with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing and having over 6 years of experience within the industry. She has a passion for emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, and imaging. At home, she has a cheeky feline companion called Lola and enjoys practicing yoga and listening to live music in her spare time.

Serena graduated from Middlesex University in 2017 with a bachelor of science degree (with honours) in Veterinary Nursing and joined the team at Mandeville in 2022. Serena loves how rewarding it is to care for all of her patients. At home she has a beautiful tabby cat called Nina and a cheeky gerbil called Monty and in her spare time she enjoys cooking, drawing/painting and playing video games.

Kitty qualified as an RVN in 2023 gaining her qualification through our Nursing College.  Kitty has a keen interest in all areas of animal wellbeing and spends a lot of time playing with her three guinea pigs, hamster and Staffie (but not all at the same time!).

Sahar joined the team at Mandeville in 2023.  She gained her degree at the Royal Veterinary College, and through her years of placement discovered a strong interest in anaesthesia and emergency critical care. At home Sahar has a very spoiled chihuahua jack russell named Luna.

Ashanti Esprit

Ashanti joined the Goddard Group in 2021 and the team at Mandeville in 2024, and is currently studying for her nursing qualification.  Ashanti originally graduated as a forensic scientist but has always had a soft spot for animals.  She is a part-time carer for her grandmother but also loves to go to the gym in her free time.

Ana Martinez Saez

Student Veterinary Nurse

Ana joined the team at Mandeville in 2019.  Ana grew up in Spain and decided to train as a nursing assistant after adopting a stray dog of her own.  She moved to the UK  in 2013 after finishing her studies and worked for the PDSA, RSPCA and RVC Beaumont Animal Hospital. Ana has an interest in pet nutrition (her own little pooch has a food allergy) as well as everything related to orthopaedic surgery. At home Ana has a Fox Terrier cross who has the same energy as that of a puppy.  She loves going for a walk and being in the company of her human family.

Angeline joined the Mandeville team in 2024 and is currently undertaking the Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. At home, Angeline has three rambunctious rescue moggies and loves to foster when the opportunity arises.

Clare Townsend

Clare joined the team at the Mandeville in 2022 and began her journey to become a veterinary nurse in 2018, after a career om marketing after completing her BA in English and Media Studies at UCT. In her spare time Clare likes to run up the mountain with her husky, she also enjoys cycling and yoga. Clare is a true lover of all animals and an aspiring triathlete and is looking forward to qualifying as a veterinary nurse in the future.

Carrie joined the team at Mandeville in 20024 having just completed a Certificate of Higher Education in Animal Science, and is looking forward to start her training as a veterinary nurse. Carrie has always dreamt of a career caring for animals. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys playing hockey, photography and traveling and can usually be found cuddled up with her Manchester Terrier puppy, Billy.
